[Rin is sitting at her desk at the boarding house, staring out the window with her NV in front of her. When he knocks, she blinks.]

[Somewhat puzzled by the invitation, Rin does recognize the name Hattie but wonders what this might be all about. She takes some time to hunt up NV contact numbers and eventually sends a message.]

Pardon me, this is one of the ladies who sent the invitation, aren't you?

[She turns to face the door.]

[He slips in. Closing the door behind him, he nods once.]

[He sits on the floor, leaning against the wall instead.]

[She slides down to sit on the floor too, with her heels under her bottom. The smile she's offering him is very small.]

... I don't think I've ever lived in a world where I could really count on people to stick around.

[He gives a short laugh.]

[He hesitates before reaching over, rubbing her back.]
