[With a grateful glance he slips in-- and just like that, he goes a little calmer. Another person, someone he trusts, someone he can sleep calmly around-- and maybe someone with whom he can share a bed. He won't make her, he knows people don't like that, but god, he misses sharing beds with people.]

I-- no. But I bet if you described him, I'd remember the . . . the figure. The person behind the name. Why?

[A beat, and then:]

He wanted to too... one time. [Shake shake again.] He was mad. He had black hair. His family was in the Port with us, you won't remember Madara either... they had strange eyes. [Absently Rin reaches for his hand.] Are you hungry?

[allucinator]

A little.

[He lets her take it, and is all the happier for it-- physical affection is hard, now, but it's different with Rin.]

He . . . I did therapy with him once. Didn't I?

I think so. That was a long time ago... [For her. She gives his hand a squeeze.] He was our friend. The whole family I guess would have said that.

Better not. I'll sit if you want some, though.

[He threats their fingers together, though, keeping her close for the time being.]

I like my roommate. The woman. She's . . . strange. I can't tell what she's thinkin'. But she's nice. She wakes me up from nightmares and she doesn't ask no questions.

Nn. Let's go to bed. It'll be just like old times... [Pauses; she doesn't want to think about sharing a bed in St.Edelweiss too much. Not that that was with Jack anyway.]
